A Facilities Director is responsible for managing an organization’s workplace facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, safety, vendors, and facility-related operations. The role ensures that offices and workspaces remain safe, efficient, compliant, and well maintained while controlling operational costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage facilities strategies, plans, and operational budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day facility operations and workplace services.
• Manage building maintenance, repairs, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, landlords, and service providers.
• Monitor facility-related costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and building regulations.
• Develop and implement workplace health and safety procedures.
• Manage security, housekeeping, transportation, cafeteria, and other support services.
• Plan and coordinate office expansions, relocations, renovations, and space utilization.
• Monitor facility performance, service levels, and maintenance schedules.
• Handle facility emergencies and coordinate appropriate response and recovery activities.
• Maintain facility records, contracts, licenses, and compliance documentation.
