An IT Support Engineer is responsible for helping employees and customers resolve technical issues related to computers, software, networks, operating systems, and IT systems. The role involves troubleshooting problems, providing technical assistance, and ensuring IT services operate smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Provide technical support through tickets, email, chat, or phone.
- Diagnose network and connectivity problems.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Monitor IT systems and resolve technical incidents.
- Document issues, solutions, and support activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux
- Computer hardware and software troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory is an advantage
