Responsibilities

• Lead database administration projects from planning through implementation.
• Manage and support Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or other database platforms.
• Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database performance, connectivity, and production issues.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, development, and business teams.
• Review database changes, scripts, configurations, and deployment activities.
• Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance requirements are followed.
• Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of database administration and management.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of database security and access management.
• Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of cloud database platforms is an advantage.
• Strong project-management and team-leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
